About Elberfelder Hut

Welcome

Our Elberfelder Hut is a mountain hut located in the center of the national park Hohe Tauern (Austria – Carinthia, Salzburg and East Tyrol) and on an elevation of 2.346 meter above sea level in the Schober Group.

The Elberfelder Hut (Elberfelder Hütte) belongs to the German Alpine Club, branch Wuppertal. The partner branches Siegburg, Recklinghausen and Gelsenkirchen contribute in managing the hut.

Arrival and Routes

Arrival from the north via Grossglockner High Alpine Road (B 107, toll) to Heiligenblut-Winkl, use parking area near family paradise Wolfgangbauer.

Arrival from the south via Felbertauernstraße/ -tunnel (B 108, toll) to Lienz, then via B 100/B 107 to Heiligenblut-Winkl, use parking area near family paradise Wolfgangbauer.

Reservation and Opening

The Elberfelder Hut is open between beginning of July and mid of September. For a resveration, please contact the hut manager (contact see below).

Note: During open hut season, a booking can only be taken by phone.
